Clark was born to a remarkable family of 9 children and raised in Orem, Utah. His parents are A. Gary and Annette Anderson. His father Gary was a gifted religious educator at BYU and served as director of the BYU Study Abroad Program to the Middle East on two separate occasions. Clark accompanied his father to the Middle East on both semesters and was a student at the BYU Jerusalem Center in 1986. In his youth Clark was involved in athletics and music excelling in football, basketball, and A Cappella & Chamber Choir. He served a two year service Mission to the Netherlands/Belgium Mission and learned the Dutch/Flemish language which he still enjoys speaking today.  
 
Clark received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from BYU and a Doctorate Degree from the University of Wyoming in Adult Education. His professional career includes 20 years as a Religious Educator and 12 years as an EFY (Especially for Youth) Speaker & Session Director. Clark started the family business of Anderson Tours 22 years ago and most recently became the founder of a non-profit organization called Revive Now Foundation and a new company International Travel Studies. Clark is married to the impressive Heather Ballard and together they have ten children and six grandchildren. Clark’s first true love is his family; second is a passion for music, travel, humanitarian work, and sports.

Clark has over 40 years of travel experience and expertise. His love for teaching began on his mission to Europe. Over the past 25 years he has organized and directed over 70 educational tours around the world including over 40 of these tours to the Middle East -- one as a student, four as director with Shalom Tours, over 25 with Anderson Tours, including a group of the College Religion Faculty. He also pioneered the youth group program in partnership with HEFY (Humanitarian Experiences for Youth) for the creation of Youth Summit Jerusalem (YSJ) taking youth to the Middle East. Clark spent the summer of 2000 in Israel as a student learning Arabic and Hebrew. With so many visits, he now claims the Middle East as his second home. 
 
Clark has also organized and directed over 20 Educational Tours in the United States and was an Assistant Director for two BYU Travel Study groups. Clark is passionate about humanitarian work, and has directed nearly 20 humanitarian tours around the world. More than anything Clark enjoys being a husband, father, and grandpa to his grandchildren. Clark is a very optimistic person and enjoys good humor and adventure and also appreciates and utilized music in all that he does. Clark is enthusiastic about learning and improving humanity and good will around the world.

Dr. Anderson will be hosting and leading a variety of our programs. Clark has over 40 years experience in the Holy Land and will be conducting various tours to Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. He will also direct a Church History/American Heritage Tour. Dr. Anderson takes great pride and care in preparing and providing experiences that are both enjoyable and full of edification!
