Jeffrey Jensen

Founder of Living Titanic, Gather-Now Team Member

Jeff Jensen is a beloved mentor for youth and has taught online history, geography, and government and economics courses at Ensign Peak Academy for over eight years. In 2018 Jeff was recognized by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library as a noteworthy Reagan historian and invited to address them, speaking on Reagan's optimism and faith. He is also a Titanic historian who has spent over 1000 hours in Utah classrooms sharing his knowledge and collection of artifacts. Jeff has published articles in peer reviewed history and academic journals on the RMS Titanic and served as an assistant editor and historical consultant on three BYU publications in the “Saints at War” program. One day he hopes to launch his dream project, “Highways of Heroes,” honoring our nation’s veterans. He enjoyed serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Korea (yes, he loves kimchi) and has participated in humanitarian endeavors in Hong Kong and as a service volunteer in two orphanages in Thailand.

For most of his adult life, he has been active in the Sunday School organization, serving as a teacher multiple times and as Sunday School president on both the Ward and Stake level. Harmonizing his faith with his teaching talents is one of his greatest joys, and one he feels blessed to share with your children. He is currently serving on the High Council, working with addiction recovery programs that serves special needs members throughout Lehi, Saratoga Springs, and Eagle Mountain.

Jeff’s greatest passion is for his faith and family. He loves his three enthusiastic and passionate boys who always keep him entertained and on his toes. Hiking by day and stargazing by night, being outdoors surrounded by nature is Jeff’s happy place. He also loves relaxing to movie scores, occasionally escaping to Middle-earth, chatting with complete strangers and listening to their stories (while turning them into friends), and finding beauty and meaning in cultures across the world.

Jeff Jensen will be responsible for administrative matters, document creation, curriculum, communication, donor packets, reports, hand-outs, meetings, training, etc. for Gather-NOW.
