Jennifer Shaw is a passionate person who loves people and experiencing life!
Jennifer graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and has had various amazing jobs from air quality monitoring to making semiconductors and running multi-million dollar projects.
Jennifer “retired” from engineering and started her favorite job, which is being a mom! In addition to caring for her family, she has been a part-time teacher/mentor for the past 15 years and is currently teaching at Ensign Peak Academy. Jennifer loves to inspire scholars as they explore this awesome universe together. She has discovered that mentoring is much more rewarding than complete million dollar projects.
Jennifer likes all sorts of experiences and adventure. Her favorite hobbies include: traveling, scuba diving, riding 4-wheelers, hiking, camping, cruising, audiobooks, creating things and being with people–especially her husband, her kids, her extended family and her new grandbaby.
Jennifer LOVES to travel and to share those experiences with others. This passion led her to start a non-profit, Deepen Your Learning, that is designed to support scholars financially to be able to travel to all parts of the world. Jennifer has taken various groups of scholars to England, France, Italy, Germany, Guatemala and all across America. After an amazing experience in Israel, Jordan and Egypt, she is very excited to be a founder in Gather-NOW which will work closely with Deepen Your Learning to help youth and single adults to have amazing travel experiences and come to a deeper knowledge of their Savior!
