Objectives of the Application Process:

Determine who will benefit the most from the Gather-NOW program.

Determine who will be in the best position to fulfill the Prophetic Priorities as a result of having this experience.

Administrative Details:

Application will be online

All questions will be fill-in-the-blank fields

Letters of Recommendation will be submitted without the applicant seeing them

The Gather-Now Program:

Gather-Now is an organization dedicated to providing youth with powerful on-site scriptural experiences (Holy Land, Book of Mormon, Church History, Humanitarian & Wilderness Experiences). Scholarships are available for youth who qualify based on financial need. The 4-part application process below is key in determining acceptance and scholarship amounts.

Application Process: (4 Components):

1.  Getting to Know You

Demographics:   Name, address, phone number, email, today’s date, male/female, parents phone number, parents email, birthdate, passport information (if needed), tour date preference, roommate preference, family members/friends traveling, food allergies, medications, other special needs or considerations, preferred method of communication (text, email), preferred departure city (airport), anything else we should know

Personal Information:

Why do you want to participate in Gather-Now experience?

Please share something interesting about you?

What in your life makes you most happy?

What meaningful service have you performed in your life?

Financial Information:

Describe your financial need for a Gather-Now scholarship

If yes, which scholarship tier would you need? (1, 2,or 3) Tier 1 is Airfare Only, Tier 2 In-country expenses, Tier 3 is the entire trip.

What is your Monthly Household Income?

How many members in your household?

Submit most current tax documents

Expectations / Commitment

Complete service project and submit final report and images to Deepen Your Learning

Attend the monthly planning sessions

Complete the pre-tour academic packets

Attend the Temple with purpose (if accessible)

Agree to communicate and respond to communications in a timely manner in the designated means (email, text, etc.)

Legal Agreement with signatures

3.  Three Letter of Recommendation

Select three people, list their names and phone numbers on the application form, then have each person send a letter of recommendation directly to Deepen Your Learning at DeepenYourLearningNonprofit@gmail.com. 

Questions for letter writer:

Please consider any or all of the following questions: 

• Why do you think the applicant should be considered?
• What impact do you hope this experience will have on them?
• What do you hope they will be able to do as a result of this experience?

4.  Service Project

Perform a meaningful Service Project of your choosing and send completed project report to Deepen Your Learning at DeepenYourLearningNonprofit@gmail.com.

SCHOLARSHIP TIERS

*NOTE: Scholarships will be for the specific services outlined below in Tier 1, 2, and 3. They will not include personal spending stipends. Participants will be responsible for personal souvenirs, lunches, snacks, and other things of a personal nature on the trip. 

Tier 1: 

The Participants international flights 

are paid for by the Gather-Now Scholarship Fund. 

[Note: International flights include 

round-trip airfare from the participants nearest 

large airport-hub to the destination.] 

Tier 2: 

The Participants in-country expenses are paid for by the Gather-Now Scholarship Fund. 

[Note: lunches and personal souvenirs throughout the trip will be the participants responsibility as well as the International flights to and from the destination. The scholarship includes hotel, transportation, entrance fees, guides, etc.]

Tier 3: 

The Participants international flights AND in-country expenses will be paid for by the Gather-Now Scholarship Fund.
