Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1 FLY TO LIMA, PERU
Today we fly to the capital city of Lima, Peru and great our hosts.
Day 2 LIMA / WORLDS LARGEST WATER PARK
Our first service opportunity will be at the Centro Desarrollo Tecnico Productivo—CEDETEP which is a Center for abused and battered girls. They not only support these young mothers and their babies but help them build a productive life and integrate successfully back into society in a meaningful way. We will explore the downtown Lima area and enjoy some local cuisine (Guiney pig anyone?). In the evening will visit the world’s largest ‘Water Park’ which consists of 12 different fountain and water displays including a water show in the park. We overnight in Lima.
Day 3 SERVE & EXPLORE JUAREZ
This morning we take a flight to the impressive Juarez, Peru which is in the north part of the country. The scenery is gorgeous and we will enjoy serving and exploring in this city. We overnight in Juarez.
Day 4 JUAREZ, PERU
Today we will enjoy local church services and view the new Temple there. We will serve in a local orphanage and enjoy strengthening the local programs provided there. In the afternoon we will visit a local lake up in the mountains. This evening we will board a red-eye commuter bus to Lima.
Day 5 TRAVEL TO AREQUIPPA
When we arrive into Lima we will board a plane and fly to the southern part of the country. Arequipa, Peru is not only beautiful and picturesque but also one of the best locations for mountain climbing in South American. It is a very cute and quaint community that will give you a real feel for Peruvian life and culture. We will check into our hotel and rest. Our afternoon and evening will be spent serving at the “Casa Hogar El Amor de Dios” as well as the “Casa de Niños”. This Orphanage has never had any other outside organization offer to help them or visit and it is obvious. There are 22 children living there from age 0 to 12. They attend school off premises and are organized in family units with ‘mothers’ who take care of them. They receive funding from the Government for their essentials, but lack funds for building maintenance, etc. The buildings are sturdy but all of the roofs are in terrible condition. It will be our opportunity to serve and strengthen these programs. We overnight in a quaint bed & breakfast in Arequipa.
Day 6 BUS TO PUNO / LAKE TITICACA
This morning we take a local bus to the impressive Puno, Peru which is in the south near Puno and Lake Titicaca. We will have the experience of a lifetime visiting Lake Titicaca and the floating islands and communities. These floating villages date back for thousands of years and are inhabited by indigenous locals whose lifestyle you will marvel at. We overnight in Puno.
Day 7 ‘THE WAY OF THE SUN’ TOUR THRU ANDES
Today we enjoy a scenic bus ride as we make our way through the Andean Mountain range. The local communities and farms will fascinate you as much as the stunning mountain scenery. This route includes several stops including a stop at an old Catholic Church known as the ‘Sistine Chapel of the America’s’. Following this relaxing and scenic experience we will overnight in Cusco and prepare for our excursion to Machu Pichu the next day. We overnight in Cusco.
Day 8-10 MACHU PICHU / CUSCO
The next three days will be a full days of exploration of the gorgeous scenery on the way and surrounding Cusco and Machu Pichu. Cusco is a beautiful city and then as we make our way to Machu Pichu is a beautiful journey as we visit the “Valley of the Sun” where we will enjoy some local shopping and view this unique valley. We will explore this “7 Wonders of the World” location and marvel at its many stories. Time will be afforded for hiking, climbing, exploring Machu Pichu. We overnight in Machu Pichu City.
Day 11 FLY HOME!
Today we fly from Cusco to Lima and from there to our various homes to be reunited with our loved ones!
NAZCA EXTENSION OPTION: $500
Day 12 NAZCA TOUR
Those extending will take a long bus ride from Lima to the point of departure where we would board a small plane and fly over the unique formations at Nazca. We overnight in the area.
Day 13 FLY HOME!
Today we make our way back to Lima and from there we will fly to our homes!

Peru is one of the most fascinating and unique countries in the world and hosts one of the 7 Wonders of the World... Machu Pichu. This country has beautiful mountains that climbers all over the world enjoy. It has cute churches, vibrant colors, warm people, and gorgeous scenery. We will also engage in some meaningful service while there as well! Everyone should go to Peru sometime in their life!
