Our trips are designed to be hard. When you leave iTs Wilderness Excursions we want you to have more confidence in yourself. This trip will be hard but you can do it...just like Life!
Phones are not allowed on our trips. We want the you to be completely unplugged! As you disconnect from the world you will make relationships that will last forever. You will rediscover the happiness that comes from connecting with others.

BACKPACKING

iTs Backpacking
Teenagers have a lot of “mountains to climb” in their future. Missions, college, work, relationships, questions etc. There will be times where they want to quit. It will be hard. We have intentionally designed this backpacking trip to be hard. Our hope is that as they carry their backpacks through Coyote Gulch they will begin to see and understand that they can do hard things without giving up! (Philippians 4:13)

WILDERNESS SURVIVAL

When faced with what seems like a daunting task, panic is often the first response. This Wilderness Survival camp is intended it to help you find the don't panic button in yourself. We will teach you the wilderness survival basic three; shelter, water, and food. This is a hands on camp where you will dig in and learn how to find food, make fire and build shelter in a mountain wilderness setting. This is intended for the beginner wilderness survival enthusiast.

ZION BACKPACKING

Zion Backpacking Trip 
This 4 day 3 night trip in the wilderness has it all! Backpacking in the beautiful Ashdown Gorge, waterfalls, arches, canyoneering in slot canyons, and hiking and swimming in Zion National Park. Not to mention nights filled with stargazing, s’mores, firesides and testimony meetings. This trip is designed to help individuals gain a love for God and his creations while doing hard things.

This program has been in the making for the past 15 years...
and, really, throughout my whole life. I grew up with a dad who took me camping and hiking in the mountains. Some of the times that I have felt closest to God have been while pondering in the wilderness away from worldly distractions. All things in the wilderness testify that there is a divine creator!

Since returning home from my mission...
I’ve worked with EFY, AFY and HEFY during the summers. This has given me a love for youth programs. I have a Masters Degree in Outdoor Adventure Programming. Currently I work as a full time teacher in Southern Utah. I am VERY excited to be able to combine my two passions: Wilderness and The Gospel!
